Blog

Sure, you might already go for your yearly routine eye exam, but if you are starting to have problems, that is simply not enough. You do not want to wait until you are scheduled for your next yearly exam, because whatever is going wrong with your eyes could get worse. Therefore, if you are starting to find yourself experiencing any of the following problems, you will want to scheduled an extra eye exam as quickly as possible.

Blind Spots

Whether this is something you are dealing with occasionally or it has consistently been a problem, you are going to want to have it checked out. There are many reasons that could be behind this type of problem, and many of them can be easily dealt with if the situation is handled properly.

Eye Strain

If you are starting to find that your eyes are hurting a lot, as though they are under a lot of strain, you need to have them checked out again. It could be something as simple as the sudden need for new prescription glasses. However, do you really want to wait another six months or however long it is until your next scheduled routine eye exam? If you want to make sure that your vision is as clear as it could be and that you are not spending the next several months in pain, you need to be seen again, even if you have to pay out of pocket for the additional exam.

Eye Pain

Whether the pain is subtle, stabbing, or throbbing, it is important to make sure that you are not ignoring it. There could be a medical condition that needs the attention of a eye specialist, or it could simply be that you have something lodged in your eye that you are unaware of. Either way, you need to make sure that you are not rubbing your eyes too much when dealing with such pain. After all, if there is something stuck in there, the last thing you want to do is to end up scratching your cornea and causing permanent damage from all of the rubbing.

As you can see, there are some very important issues that would require you to seek out the attention of a trained eye specialist. The sooner you bring such problems to the attention of a trusted eye doctor like those at Naples Optical Center Inc, the sooner it will be able to be resolved.

Outstanding In-Home Care

When my mother fell at home and broke her hip, we all thought that we were going to have no choice to put her in a nursing home when she got out of the hospital. My mother had always asked us kids to avoid putting her in any kind of home, but we didn’t know what else we could do. None of us were capable of giving her the kind of rehabilitation and care that she needed. Then her doctor suggested that we find out if her insurance covered in-home care. I didn’t even know that that was an option. I was pleased to discover that in-home care was covered by her plan. Now she gets great care from nurses and nurse assistants that come right to her in her home, where she wants to be. It’s a great option, and I’m so glad we have it.
